Construction Details:

Jacket - Crushed velvet lined with black broadcloth. The black trim was drafted specifically to fit the edges of the jacket since normal trim would look wrinkly and gross. All trims and sequins were painstakingly hand-sewn on.

Pants - Fully lined cotton knee-length harem pants with gold satin and sequin embellished ties at the ends.

Hat - Base made out of a Rice Krispies box with a cover sewn using red stretch fabric. Feathers are 4 decorative boas sewn together.

Blue sash - Blue brocade with gold bias tape as trim.

Red sash - Red satin with added accents of dark red baroque satin and red brocade.

Rope trim - 9 feet of hand-braided fabric.

Gloves - altered opera gloves from Claire's with gold satin toppers adorned with gold bias tape and 2 row of hand-sewn sequins.

Shoes - bought as-is from Old Navy

Personal Thoughts:

Since Rei is obsessed with the beautiful, I decided to try and make this outfit as gaudy as possible.
