About this Costume
Construction Details:
I choose to go with the anime rendition of her uniform with the tan jacket and blue skirt. Oddly enough, the jacket was a real challenge to find. I found an Oxford, white knee highs, and black shoes in and around a few local stores. From there, I made the pleated skirt and improvised with the tie that makes up her bow.

This was the second cosplay that I did in which I actually used my own hair, since in the anime the color was pretty close. The finishing touch though! I searched around online and was lucky enough to find a rendition Tsukushi’s Saturn Necklace being sold on Etsy by the seller ‘TheSaturnNecklaceShop’. They got it to me promptly and I can’t tell you how happy I was with it. ^_^ And thus the cosplay was completed!
Personal Thoughts:
What can I say? I fell in love with “Boys Over Flowers/Hana Yori Dango” and like everything else, was inspired to make a cosplay. I decided to put together something for Tsukushi in the month and a half before New York Comic Con.

I premiered it on the Saturday of New York Comic Con/Anime Festival of 2010. I didn’t really get shots from NYCC, but in January, one of my friends, TheCoolKidWithCamera on DeviantArt, asked if she could do a shoot of one of my cosplays. Tsukushi made the list and I was really happy to finally get some done. Hope you like it! :)
