*Hair Accessories*
Made out of white spandex and blue spandex I dyed myself to get the tone I wanted. I used rolled up plastic to give the fabric more support for that cylinder effect.
*Shirt*
Most definitely the trickiest part! I could not that that front opening right but I did the best I could. I used white spandex and blue spandex I dyed myself to get the tone that I wanted. I used a form fitting tank top as a base for where to cut from and then I added a few more inches to account for the turtle neck portion. I cut out the front opening and then sewed white spandex all around the top and sewed both pieces together. I didn't sew a zipper; I just slipped it over my head.
*Belt and Pelt*
Was mostly brown fuzzy material that I do not know what its called XP, lots of white craft fur, and blue taffeta fabric that I dyed myself to get the tone I wanted. I basically measured where I wanted the pelt to fall and cute it out and sowed the pieces of craft fur little by little. I made sure to leave a slit at the top to slip the blue taffeta fabric through.
*Arm Bands*
Navy blue and white spandex for the two forearm bands. The other band with the triangles I once again dyed blue spandex to get the tone I wanted, then cut out all the shapes and glued them on to white spandex with fabric glue.
*Pants*
I bought scrubs form a department store, they weren't the most accurate coloring but, I just made sure to choose a blue that didn't clash with all the other blue elements Korra wears lol.
*Boots*
I used some old brown suede boots that I was ready to throw away an dI painted the lighter brown tones with some acrylics. I just made sure to tape off the parts I didn't want to paint first. them I glued craft fur all along the top and I cut out a triangular shape for the front of the boots. - Personal Thoughts:
- This was my second time cosplaying as Korra at Anime Boston and I definitely had a blast! I'm so glad I got to re do this costume because my first go at it was rushed and not the best of my ability. I'm got to redeem myself lol! XP
