About this Costume
Construction Details:
All of the patterns were drafted 100 percent by me. Which took half of the woman hours put into this cosplay. Cape is "Medieval Blue" suiting from Joann's lined with a black suiting lining. The cape is a grand total of 16 yards of fabric, with 8 yards per facing and lining. The dress, gloves and boots covers are 4 way stretch milliskin shiny in Navy, curtsy of SpandexWorld.com. The cut out are spandex skin tone fabric. The tights were hard to find but ebay had some girls/women dance tights from the U.K. The U.K. is the only one who has dance tights in a ivory/creme color. Apparently everyone in America has a tan of some sort. The hood has copper wire from the jewelery section to help sculpt the shape. The edges of the spandex are unfinished and cut very neatly for the perfect superhero look. Shoes are were nearly brand new from GoodWill. The cape is held on to my body via a leotard with 2 d-rings and two snaps. The d-rings hide under the silver discs. The discs/broaches are worbla with filler primer and metallic spray paint. The leotard in addition to holding up my cape, holds down my dress from riding up and wrinkling, as well as making sure no one gets a look at my lady parts.
Wig is from theHairTek Group on ebay. I altered the hairline myself by additionally ventilating a lace front wig. The only problem with this wig is that the wig cap is petite size and even with my short hair and small head it doesn't fit right.
I scabbed the charkara jewel from a medallion from Micheal's.
Makeup: Mehron Starblend in Eurasia Ivory. Curtisy of ebay seller abunchoffun. I used concealer under my eyes and other areas then applied the Starblend. My eye makeup is a take on [link] .
Contacts: G&G GBT Violet from Pinky Paradise. These had a really nice color but made my eyes tired very fast.
Personal Thoughts:
This has been a dream for many many years. Raven is my favorite DC Titan. And to have a Starfire along side me was the best thing ever. I love this one so much.

Wig Review
To start the wig fibers are something from the next planet. So they call their fibers Organics and they are fully curl-able in high and low heat. Although I haven't tried to style one these yet. While completely unimpressive looking and not super silky smooth (compared to the typical cosplay wig) the fibers are top quality. Tangles in a medium to long wig are no worry. The lack of sheen to the fiber gives a completely natural look and feel. Feels like real hair. The lace in the lace front is stiff and brittle. But handled with care will not tear. The major issue with this wig is the wig cap size. It is listed as pettie. I had to cut my hair really sort to get it under the wig and even then it was still too small. I may mention I have a very very small head. Overall I love this company and their wigs for the qaulity you will not find a cheaper lace front wig. Shipping is within the States and is extremely fast (and free!).
