Construction Details:

This project took a while as I had to make my own patterns and create templates and prototypes before attempting the real thing.
I opted to use a gold pleather for the edging as I didn't like the pre-manufactured bias tapes available pre-made. It was a challenge to work with small strips of pleather but I now have the hang of it! All details were hand crafted for authenticity including the buttons. The jacket will be lined so that, even seen inside-out, it will be properly finished.

Personal Thoughts:

I started this costume in September 2012 but had to shelve it for quire a while. I finished the visible details in time for PAX East 2013 but I need to make adjustments and finishing touches. I will be sewing matching pants and buying the right footwear as well as making some alterations for better fitting and form.
