About this Costume
Construction Details:
After a lot of reconceptualizing with friends, Sokka turned out to be an easy do. The hardest part was the hood, just because I didn't have the funds at the time (or the time) to go and make a hood from 100% scratch, so I took a hood off a jacket (this actually took two tries with two hoods to get right), and lined it with a small amount of light-blue fabric to cover the original inside of the hood(s)
I then took an old cap, and cut the bill of it out, and attached it to the hood, to try and re-create the shape of the warrior wolf helmets worn by the Southern Water Tribe warriors.
I covered the bill in white, and quickly added the other details from the helmet on the hood.

The funniest part was making his "brass knuckles", which were actually "craft foam knuckles".
Personal Thoughts:
Ever since I saw dustsplat.deviantart.com's drawings for his Street Avatar Gaang concepts, I've been DYING to cosplay it! His outfit concepts are stunning and are super detailed, which really showed how much he paid attention to the original character's designs. Of course, we ended up simplifying down the more detailed ones, like Sokka and Katara, so that we wouldn't catch on fire or be overwhelemed by the amount of small details.
