Construction Details:

This dress took approximately three weeks to finish, counting the time for wig styling and other small details. The bodice and overskirt are gabardine; the underskirt was created out of material that I found in the bargain prom bin at my local fabric store. I wanted to portray the colors from the visual novel, rather than the usual bright red, so I went for a subtler color.

The overskirt is machine embroidered; I sketched the design onto it before going over it with embroidery thread.

Personal Thoughts:

As my first time making a ballgown, and my first time stepping outside of simpler cosplays, this was definitely a challenge! I am relatively happy with how it's turned out and I hope I can wear it for a long time to come.
