About this Costume
Construction Details:
All armor bits were made with 1/8" EVA craft foam. Bulkier than the 3mm stuff so it better holds its form, but not so ridiculous that I look like an Iron Man cosplayer.

Originally I had grand designs to make the head pieces out of vac formed plastic, but time made EVA foam the best choice, along with weight concerns as it would be attached to the head.

From top to bottom:

Head: The ponytail attachment is connected by a hair clip, similar to how the Jeannie ponytail attachment fits. The long panels have skewers and popsicle sticks glued in (or used as details) to help it hold its shape.

The headband is a $1 thrift store headband covered in craft foam to bulk it up and give some depth to the holes. The ear pieces are likewise craft foam, though I have some fiberglass ones waiting to be trimmed. The red bits are a mason jar cap with a random plastic detail I picked up at a craft store, with a squeeze tube bit used for additional detail. Ethernet cable is used for the wiring.

Forearms are EVA foam. The gloves are half finger paintball gloves painted with red fabric paint.

Legs are likewise EVA foam. I had though about doing some pieces with the ball-joint doll airbrush technique, but the EVA foam seemed a better route in the end. Waterslide decals were used for details. The hardest part of this was trying to get the skirt to sit properly on the thigh pieces without bunching up, and it took a lot of modifying to get a size that worked.

A cheap pair of kneepads from Harbor Freight were cut up and glued to painted elastic for the knees, and a simple EVA foam piece made up the shins. The belt is attached to the shirt with magnets.

I tried to make shoes but they ended up looking goofy, like clown shoes, so I just wore some loafers I got for human Labrys. I'll probably just find a similar thrift pair to paint instead.

Undersuit is some carpezio dancer tights with the turtleneck bit altered, some white leggings from target(I might try black in the future), and some white gloves/socks.

The Yasogami High uniform is made by my talented friends PulseLine cosplay. The skirt is a loaner, and they're going to have me make my own eventually because apparently pleats are evil. Makeup job was also done by Pulseline.
Personal Thoughts:
I love Labrys. Persona 4 Arena was the first Persona game I actually played through, and Labrys' story made me tear up so much. She's a great character and I love her so much! Pulseline offered to help me make the costume as a Christmas present and in return for my help with Jiraiya, and I'm so thankful to them for making this possible.

Wig Review
Super heavy between the pony tail and attachments, but it held up pretty well! Only started to slip after several hours of wear.

Waiting for Arda to offer bang extensions in the right color. =)
