Construction Details:

I believe the tunic was made out of broadcloth. I can't remember what the pants and turtleneck were made out of...but I do remember the construction of the obi. What I ended up doing to make it bend was that I put pipe insulator inside the obi, and then stuffed it. The sandals were altered thong sandals.

Personal Thoughts:

I liked this costume a lot. It was my first remotely successful costume...a lot of people complimented me on it and I even got tackled by a group of fangirls. I made this when I was a tad thinner, however...hence why it's retired. I might bring it back, though.

Wig Review

Both of my wigs eventually got so tangled that I couldn't use them - even the nice one. That's why you never use kanekalon for super-long wigs. I use heat-resistant fibers now - they're also very tangle-resistant.
