I made the bodysuit by taking an old bodysuit I had never used for anything, drawing out my seam lines, cutting it up and using it as a pattern. I used spandex for the bulk of it - alternating the matte and shiny side. I used a black knit to create the ribbed sections on the arms, sides, and inner legs.
The cape I made out of black spandex and purple knit. It snaps onto the suit.
The boots were a last minute thing - the base boots I got I ended up not liking, so I made the boot tops out of spandex and just attached them to the suit, and wore it with heels.
In 2013 I made some updates, including fixing the fit of the cowl, readjusting the bat symbol, making new gauntlets and a new belt.
