Construction Details:

I'm most proud of my custom galaxy fabric--I started with navy blue cotton and using black and purple spray paint, I created a base. I then added white, gold, and silver splatter plaint to get the effect of stars, something which I thought made it have a beautiful depth. I used this fabric to line the entire unskrt, the sleeves, and the under-ruffle of the top two skirts. I could barely sew through all of the material. xD I wired each layer of the skirt to give it shape, though I will be adding a cage skirt later for more poof. I will also be making boot covers and updating her gloves, things that I didn't have time to do before being judged. :< I was, however, very fond of my jacket and my gems, which were the first things I've ever cast out of resin! My bows are super adorable and poofy, and overall, I was very pleased how I handled the difficult costume!

Personal Thoughts:

Awah, one of my dream costumes! ;w; I had a wonderful time wearing this, despite how difficult it was to move with my wings on. I will be remaking my wings (for the third time, actually, since the first pair broke) that will hopefully give me improved mobility. xD I loved being Madoka, mostly because I loved what she stands for. <3 I'm looking forward to wearing her again!
