Construction Details:

-Skirts-

The skirts are all made of either stretch satin or nice backed satin. There are 14 2" knife pleats all the way around. We chose to do pleats for the classic senshi rather than gathers because we thought that it would be more appropriate to save gathers for the eternal forms. ;)

-Bodysuits-

The bodysuits are modified from an ice skating leotard pattern. We added the line and stuffed sleeves, but the pattern is otherwise left mostly intact. The bodysuit fabric is a nylon spandex blend.

-Gloves-

The glove pattern comes from pulling apart a driving glove and adding some seam allowance. They are all made from the same fabric as the bodysuits.

Personal Thoughts:

These costumes were so much fun to wear! Who doesn't love to dress up as their favorite Sailor Senshi? I'm sure we'll be wearing these many times in the future, so look out for us at future Fanime conventions (and any other cons we happen to make it out to)! :3
