About this Costume
Construction Details:
I had a hard time finding a fabric for the coat I could live with, but ended up settling on this suede-y upholstery fabric that had just the right amount of stiffness, and then lining that with linen, which made a pretty fabulous lining fabric. I adapted the coat pattern from a short jacket, mostly obliterating a lot of the shape, making the sleeves enormous, and giving it more of a drop waist. Then I just sort of made something up for the skirt, and slapped the panel on the front.
The fur was this AWESOME remnant Binx/Diana found, and I used every inch of it (which involved playing pattern tetris and slightly altering the shape of the collar and size of the hat).
I don't like my bootcovers... I'd really like to remake them to be better.
I love that the makeup for this costume is putting on contacts, then piling on eyeliner and fake lashes until I can barely open my eyes. Nothing like dressing entirely in white to really make them pop.
Personal Thoughts:
Very warm, very white, love the fur, hate the bootcovers.

Wig Review
Had this wig in a box for a few years, for a costume that never happened, and it seemed to work really well after a generous dose of wig conditioner. Will probably end up replacing it eventually, but I'm actually pretty happy with how it worked out.
