About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This costume is entirely altered police clothing, badges and patches. The epaulettes were painted with Jaquard's to save time from seam ripping them off the shirt and dyeing them. (I would have had to take most the shirt apart) The shirt was also taken in so it wouldn't be as baggy on me. The name badge and pants were bought from an online store and the shirt, pins, patches and belt accessories were bought from a police uniform store in Chicago.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I'm always a fan of villains. George is probably one of my favorites. Also. Kevin Bacon.
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- I used some got to be and a hair dryer to smooth the hair back, and I have to do it while I'm wearing it. I used my front hair line to cover the edge of the wig so that my own hair looked slicked back and had to pin it in place. The hair line is actually a backwards clip in Short Bang from Arda Wigs. I snipped the top clip out of it and used Lacefront Tape to keep it down. I used the remaining clips to make sure the bangs didn't move around and then I pinned it all into place.
- Wig Review
- The bangs for a hairline is a great idea, but to make them more realistic for this use, you might have to mod the edge of it on top. Its a bit to rounded. This is because its meant to blend in as a bang and not for these purposes.
