Construction Details:

Jumpsuit: I used a KwikSew pattern as a base, which was heavily modified to get the shape that I needed. The jumpsuit is actually double-lined through the top and waist, to keep the gromments from looking their shape. I used a moleskin, and used the "wrong" side of the fabric to avoid that unflattering shine.

Blouse: The blouse is made of casa satin, and is sewn right onto the jumpsuit, making it a one-piece outfit.

White Mage Cloak: I used a Burda pattern as a base, and altered it to add the collar, hood, and kick pleats. In retrospect, I should have chosen a different fabric for this. The faux velvet makes this very heavy, but I love how lush is it.

Gloves, Boots: The gloves were an old pair I had, that I attached straps and buckles too. The booties are vintage, which I dyed maroon and added some faux stitching to.

Pendant: This is made from a Christmas ornament with a sculpey topper.

Healing Rod: Made from a PVC pipe, stryrofoam, model magic, and a lot of hot glue.

Wig: Long - Alicia XXL by New Look in dark brown.
Short - random bob wig bought secondhand

Personal Thoughts:

I've always loved Garnet, and I thought her travelling jumpsuit was so cute. I was really nervous about making this, because of how skintight it is. But, I actually don't think I looked too bad in it. This was fairly comfortable to wear, aside from the fact that the weight of the buckles kept causing the jumpsuit to slide down, and I had to keep adjusting myself.
