About this Costume
Construction Details:
I actually really like this costume; the skirt is a soft knit that stretches wonderfully, although because of that I had to fabric tape the buttons to the skirt to keep them from drooping (they're shank buttons). The skirt was hand drafted, as was the obi/cape thing - the purple fabric is kind of like matte cotton sateen (I swear someday I will write down what fabrics I use) and the bow is supported by a cardboard cutout inside it.

I'm wearing two shirts, both bought. One is a skin tight 3/4 length sleeve shirt that I've had for a long time, and the outside one is a basic black t-shirt from Michael's. Analise (Yvienge) did the symbol on the t-shirt.

The horns are a wire base with model magic (the wire base prevented the little tail on the left horn from snapping off) and glued to a headband.
I used some generic white cream face paint, powered it with talcum powder and a setting spray (which I think came with Ben Nye kits that the rest of my group was using to go gray). I'm wearing prescription yellow contacts from Youknowit.com, and the fangs are from Scarecrow (I HIGHLY suggest them for anyone looking for costume fangs).
Personal Thoughts:
Chalk up another costume to Lauren (VintageAerith)'s influence. xD
I haven't read Homestuck in its entirety, but I knew enough about it to say "oh, yeah, I can do one of the trolls" when approached, and then suddenly I was a fanged alien vampire. xD
