About this Costume
Construction Details:
The hat was made out of some suiting material, the same as the dress. I found a pattern for a Lolita Sailors hat online and modified it to my liking. The pink bits were done with fabric paint. The strawberries were made out of sculpty, which I poked holes in the back of so I could sew them directly onto the pigtails.

The dress was a hella modified version of New Look pattern 6203. I made it with a really inappropriate fabric so I might remake it sometime. It depends on how I feel about it, hahaha. The heart pin was made out of craft foam and attached to a brooch pin on the back.

The bag I really rushed on and had to sew with a broken machine so I'll be remaking it. It is made out of duck canvas and interfacing and I patterned it out myself.

Shoes were my old pair from my Haruko costume that I painted the heels on. I wanted to make boot covers but I didn't have the time, so they will be made later and socks were subbed in when I wore it at ALA.
Personal Thoughts:
Ahhh! One of my dream cosplays! I've been wanting to cosplay Milk since before I even knew what cosplay was! I've been playing DDR for years, and in my first set of songs I always play Love Love Sugar. On the home version of Extreme they have an animation of her dancing in the background and I'd always imitate her silly dance moves while singing it and my friends would laugh and say I should dress up like her. Years later I got into Pop'n and here I am with her costume!

I have a few things I need to remake/finish but I'm pretty content with the costume overall.

Styling Notes
The wig was a Lulu from Arda wigs+two of their curly pigtails. I went ahead and got them in bubblegum pink and then tinted them a bit with a mixture of RIT dye to get them the right color. The pigtails had the top layer of hair pinned up and then I back combed and ratted the hell out of them to give them their huge poof. My friend Ikuy helped me out by cutting both the pigtails and base wig and then with a hair straightener and curlers I was able to curl the bottom part of the pigtails.
Wig Review
Wonderful. Super easy to work with.
