About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
I haven't made a stretchy costume in a while, strike that, Dio, and then AntiSpiral last year. I haven't made a shiny superheroy costume in a while, last one being Robin, so I'm a bit rusty. The dark blue bodysuit was left over fabric from I tried to make Karrie be my Viper to my Jackie Chan, so I finally used that, it's got just "enough" sheen to it. Made the bodysuit to avoid a seam down the middle. The jacket collar was quilted ahead of time then sewn in with wire reinforcement. Just another trenchcoat to add to my coat collection (Hei, Mr. Chan, Kaiba, Kaiba, Gray). The boots started off silver, and then were airbrushed to that slight frost blue as seen in the figure. I also airbrushed his trim to that color before attaching it to his shiny hot pink body armor. There is a quick and dirty muscle suit underneath since I don't have the pack to give him all his man-cleavage he has in the figure. The head... thing is also made of spandex-lycra and based off Sasuke Sarutobi's headband. Gloves I started off making normal ones then cut off the necessary fingers.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I've always wanted to cosplay Gambit, but never really wanted to get full sclerals for it. But then, all of the photoshop! And ALL OF THE ROGUES that suddenly popped up convinced me it was the right thing to do, and much better than whole body paint Nightcrawler.
