About this Prop
Construction Details:
This was made using strips of 0.25 inch adder wood cut and sandwiched together, and PVC piping for the barrels. The gems are actually glass beads that have had the underside painted with a metallic acrylic, and hot glued on so that the color would come from the underside of the gems. The trinkets were made of Apoxie Sculpt but i need to remake them again since it was a really rushed job and they look a bit deformed, lol. The wood pieces were titebonded and clamped together so that they would stick, and much sanding was done both by sanding belt to smoothen its shape, then hand sanding, then using an orange sanding sponge... Painting was actually done by spray painting it safety red, then using a magenta acrylic, brushing that on, to give it a kind of grained look, then using a clear enamel coat to smoothen its paint job and seal it all in. Then the gold was hand painted on, along with the black.
Personal Thoughts:
The detailing of these props made them more of a pain to put together then the Cloud fusion sword... tiny props suck D:
