Construction Details:

I decided to make this the Saturday before AAC after finding a great fabric for the dress. It's a purple and blue blended fabric. I think it's cotton, but I'm not sure. It was only $1/yard from Sewfisticated in Framingham.

I used a basic princess seam dress pattern that I had on hand. The gold details are done with fabric markers, but I'm going to go back and satin stitch them.

The bird design is heat and bonded onto the side panel and shawl. I bought the belt at JC Penney, but I plan on making it more accurate soon.

Personal Thoughts:

Thanks to Serephita for taking these awesome pictures at AAC. I just wish my ears weren't on upside down ;_;

In the Katsucon pictures I also made my friend nigoki's Groose costume (minus the accessories, which he made).

Styling Notes

I straightened a Claudia wig with my iron, cut bangs into it, then made the side pieces and low ponytail wrapped with ribbons.
