This dress is a nice red knit fabric with heat n bonded white casa satin leaves. I stared at the references for a while and over and over when I was placing them to get them all in the right places. She DOES have a particular placement for those, it just takes a lot of references and double checking to make sure the animator didn't have a brain fart when drawing (b/c there are a couple scenes they messed up royally with the leaves: warning if you make this too) I also had to iron the shoulder leave on by putting it on m dress form and iron it while pressing the inside with my hand in an oven mitt :p
also, there is some double fold, red biase tape around the neckline to keep the shape consistent.
The dress was took about 4 hours from fabric pile to completion.
Scrump was about a 2 hour job. I drafted the pattern, put her all together, cut her smile after stuffed, ladder stitched it back together, hot glued the felt stitches over the mouth, painted the buttons the right colors, sewed them on, cut her hair from the inside of an old broom, then hot glued the bow and hair on to the top of her head. I love her and I think people at Disney loved her even more than the costume haha
The flower was made by my friend at Legendary Leathercrafts. It's so beautiful and has a loop on the inside so I can just slip it in with a hair pin!

- I want to wear this forever... it's like a super comfy Moomoo that I can wear sandals with and be a bit of a spoiled ass in. What's not to love?
I need to con someone into a Stitch costume so we can run around and play pranks.
