About this Costume
Construction Details:
I made this for the Final Fantasy Distant Worlds Concert at Royce Hall, UCLA which took place on Sept 9 and 10 of 2011. Overall this costume was fairly cheap and easy to make. Most pieces of the costume were bought ready-made: the belt buckles (3, 1 for the shoulder strap, 2 for the small ones on the boots), the gray undershirt (originally a long spaghetti strap top that cost $4, cut and altered into a tank top), the orange booty shorts (super bright orange that didn't fade even after soaking a whole night in diluted bleach solution), suspender clips, and the wrist band. Stuff I made from scratch are the belts, shoulder strap, tank top, glove, and boot covers. Ycysusan made the headband and Chibi Tako made the yellow pouch for me since I was running low on time :D thanks guys! Kingdom Hearts II Yuffie was also made by me and worn by Chibi Tako who was kind enough to cosplay with me to the concert so I wouldn't feel so alone!
Personal Thoughts:
Yuffie is my absolutest favorite female character in all the Final Fantasy series, so I was so excited to cosplay her! Even though I absolutely suck at shooting/action type games, when I found out that both Vincent (my first and foremost favoritest FF character, ever) and Yuffie were featured in it, I sucked it up and played anyway. I had to re-do missions several times but it was worth it! I absolutely love love love Yuffie's costume in here. It's so cute and spunky!

Styling Notes
Wig is a black bob wig bought for $20 from Fashion District in LA then cut and styled to match Yuffie's haircut. My hair is too long to cosplay Yuffie now :( Not too difficult, wig originally falls to the shoulder so just had to keep layer off the bangs and the bottom into Yuffie's round bob. This wig has no part so was a little difficult getting it to part to the side. Hairclips and hairspray fixed that. Lots and lots and lots of layering was what took the most time.
