Construction Details:

Since Archer is a very start animated show, I wanted to give my costume a similar appearance as it looks on screen. I opted to go with white PVC for the top, to match the boots I already had in my closet, long pile fur for the hat and jacket cuffs, and a nice white suiting for the skirt and bolero. The bustier is vinyl, interlined with coutil and lined in the same twill as the skirt and bolero. Spiral and spring steel boning add shape to the piece. The skirt and bolero were hand drafted, faced, and lined. The hat, as well, as drafted without a pattern, with the suggestion of my friend Katie who said "cut a rectangle, and then a circle." *laughs* It took a bit of finagling for sizing, but it eventually worked. I did not line the hat because I was pressed for time.
