About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The helmet and shoulder pads were created by building a styrofoam and wire base, that I sprayed with expanding foam, and then carved to shape. The foam bases were then coated in apoxie sculpt and standed and primed and sanded and primed until smooth. The fur bits were altered to look more accurate by airbrushing color into the spots. Claws were molded in silicon and cast in resin to be sturdy and hold up to any con abuse. The claws were attached by drilling holes in the backs and sewing them to the paws. The bodysuit was made out of spandex and the designs were appliqued ontop. The holes in the legs are reinforced with nude nylon fabric, that was painted to have the correct body art patterns. The bodypaint was Krylons Alcohol Activated BIC. It worked perfectly and did not rub off- I actually had those tatoos for at least 3 days afterwards.
- Personal Thoughts:
- When I first got into cosplay this was the costume I had dreamed of making. At that time I didn't think I had the skill or ability to make it a reality, but I decided to finally tackle the costume this year to wear with 2 of my favorite ladies ever.

- Styling Notes
- The actual base wig was about shoulder length. I gathered the bottom layer of hair into a low pony tail and attached it to a hair tail I made out of some upholstery cording wrapped in red fabric. The wig hair was trimmed with a razor and thinning shears to give it a wispy fluff to the bottom. A curling iron and hair spray were used to give the right flip. Trimmings from the wig were added to the bottom of the hair tail.
