Construction Details:

I've always thought this costume looked rather kitty-like, so I chose a soft, velour-like black fabric to give the dress some texture. I had only fuzzy tiny screenshots of the back of the outfit, so that part is educated guess-work. I'm rather fond of the headband details, like the twist in front of the bow.

Recent changes include crafting the matching rod, a new wig, new more accurate socks (the silver lines are there, they're just not easy to see), and new shoes.

I used a different construction method for this rod than for the default one. There were some weight and balance issues, so I went through several different versions for the "metal" parts of the crescent. Sanding the gesso, filler and paint was a tedious, lengthy process, but I wanted a more rounded look than my previous rod. For the details, the reference material isn't very specific, so I borrowed some aspects from the default rod. I'm not sure how well the raised and recessed areas show up, but I did try to add some weathering to emphasise it.

The hilt is wrapped with pleather and the little kitty is made from wooden beads and craft foam.

Personal Thoughts:

I know there's a lot of dislike for Sophia's character, but I got rather attached to her while playing this game. Although I have plans to complete my set of her outfits, this one is my favourite. I planned to make Cliff's black and white alternate outfit for my boyfriend, but haven't yet got around to it.
