Personal Thoughts:

VA-NEEEEEEEEL. The cosplay I both dreaded and was super-excited for. I remember seeing the trailer for Final Fantasy XIII when it first premiered at E3 2006, and how as a junior in high school, I gabbed like a crazy person with the other kids at the lunch table about how amazing it was going to be. It took a hell of a long time for Square-Enix to get this thing on the shelves (and even longer for me to have the means to play it), but I think it was certainly worth the wait. Cute story time: I was a host on a pretty successful Final Fantasy podcast for three years, that for the first few months, almost exclusively focused on FFXIII news and updates. Apparently while Umi-kun was living in France, it was one of her favorite things to listen to, since it was a tie to back-home, and of course related to the next in one of her favorite video game series. We met for the first time at Otakon 2008 since she really wanted to meet her favorite podcast's hosts, and now we're best friends. :) She's the one who decided one day, we HAD to cosplay FFXIII and talked me and Kisa Cosplay into being Vanille and Fang for the group. It was my runaway favorite thing to wear at Otakon, even if Final Fantasy has taken a backseat in my favorites. Buhhh, I want to do it again soon!
