About this Costume
Construction Details:
The skirt is made from a modified dress pattern out of red peachskin silk. The jacket, undershirt, and thigh-high socks are all patterned by myself. The jacket is made from red bridal satin with a black fur-trim. The undershirt is made from lavender cotton and the socks are made out of caviar colored jersey. The garter belt is made from a cut up pair of suspenders and Nana's signature ring is made out of painted craft foam. The shoes were bought from Bodyline.
Personal Thoughts:
This costume was probably the first that I made which really looks like a masquerade costume. It's a lot showier and involved some more finicky pieces than some of my past costumes (possibly with the exception of Sumomo). Honestly, I loved running around in this costume and had a really fantastic time at the photoshoot.
