Construction Details:

This entire cosplay was made from modified clothes. Being my first official cosplay, I tried to make it easy on myself by customizing some pieces that I picked up from a local thrift store. For the beige shirt I took a button-down dress shirt and initially removed the yoke/line of buttons. Next I took the shirt up and added the pockets. Then I lined the collar, installed the zipper, and added the checkered detail. For the black shirt I took a polo and removed the yoke and split the shirt down the middle. Then I added the grey portion as well as the zipper. I made the zipper pull our of Shrinky Dink. The pants were made from two pairs of dress pants with the khaki chaps being cut from one pair and added to the black pair. The wristlet and rings were simply made by me from polar fleece. The shoes were painted by me and were originally white. Unfortunately I forgot them for this photoshoot, so you can't see them here. My Keyblade was made by my dad from wood, chain, and PVC pipe. I did all of the painting.

How was the wig colored?

Fading, I let it sit in the sun for about two weeks to lighten it to a honey color

Styling Notes

For the wig I simply used aerosol hairspray and a hairdryer. I gradually styled it on and off for a while until I was finally satisfied. Please note that this wig photographs much darker than it actually looks. It is actually honey-colored.
