Construction Details:

Chibitalia is my all time favorite character from Hetalia, and it was definitely a must do for me! The dress was made from cotton, a light mint green on top and the darker forest green on the bottom; the collar was added after the fact, and it zips easily up the back. The apron was made of white cotton and fastens with snaps in the back. The bloomers and petticoat were the most fun to make--the bloomers are historically accurate with the fastens all the way up the front and back and trimmed with lace. The petticoat was made off of the skirt pattern and trimmed with the same lace. The kerchief was made with the same white cotton and I embroidered flowers along the edges by hand. The boots I already had. I also made a matching Holy Roman Empire costume for my friend to wear along with me--we had lots of fun taking pictures together, and this is still one of my all time favorite costumes!
