Construction Details:

The vest is made out of pont with bias tape accents and trim. The undershirt is simple black cotton while the pants are a lighter washed denim. The belt is made out of pleather The shoes were originally white keds which I painted to look more like Ash's shoes. The gloves were green nylon ones which I bought, cut off the fingers, and added lime green cotton to the bottom. The hat too was a base had which I added a white panel to and painted on the design.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume took me a long time mainly because I was unable to sew very well in school (yay for forced triples). I drafted the pattern for the undershirt and the vest myself and I was happy to find that they turned out well. I actually really love the shoes - like a lot and though it took a lot of time, the wig was a lot of fun to play around with. Debuting at Anime Boston 2011 for the Masquerade, I had a blast romping around in this costume for the weekend.

Styling Notes

This wig had to be constantly restyled after each wear because it would get a little smushed during photo poses or the hustle and bustle of the day would cause the individual pieces on the side to detach a bit from the whole swoop.
