Construction Details:

I created all of the elements of my costume (except for the pants which were purchased and altered to fit appropriately for this cosplay). The current sword I use is just for display and does not detach from its sheath. It was made by taking a plank of wood roughly 6feet tall and power sawed and sanded to the correct shape. I then covered it in thick silk which was sewn and pulled on over it; gluing it on to keep it from moving. I hand painted the white crosses. The hand guard is plastic o.o I cut up a drain thing that was purchased at target and then it was covered in the same material I made my hat out of and stuffed. The red cording and tassels were purchased as they are and not altered. I did not use patterns for my hoodie or hat- o.o I free handed them. For permanent spots on my pants I mixed a textile medium into black acrylic paint. The tinier spots seen in some scenes and on most of his figures are better looking. So I painted those ones on after sketching them on with a charcoal pencil on the pants after they had been taken in. I then waited 7 days (as the instructions had stated) and ironed the spots before washing them.
