Constructed with the sewing assistance of Raider3 10-16-2007 The costume is mostly finished and was constructed for the Fanime Mari Iijima concert. Sadly, due to circumstances beyond my control, construction was delayed to a mere few weeks before con, and the costume was rushed. As such, there is no final belt, the shoes were straight black, the shirt and pants lacked accent colors, and the colors were accidentally switched. As of October, the sleeves have been shortened, but need to be more-so, the shoes are painted, but need severe touch up, and the sleeve stripes and name bar has been put in the correct color. Snaps will be moved to allow for a better fit and less baggy look. While it might not be obvious in the picture, yes, the shades are blue-lensed. Work continues whenever the tailor gets over his sewing machine trauma. 4/22/10 update: Noticed I haven't updated in a long while. The costume was essentially corrected for 2008's NCCBF Grand Parade. The pants are detailed, the sleeves the proper length, and the fit better. The collar keeping us up to the wee hours of the morning just before the event and in the right colors and material. It's still not laying right, nor sewn in properly (I actually attended the parade with it mostly pinned in place). Ironically, the collar on my friend's Roy costume hangs flawlessly, despite not being cut for a 3D form like mine was. Great care was put into mine, and it still bunches, yet his is pretty much flawless. I blame the material and his broader frame. As of right now, the remaining external stitching needs removal. I'd also like to line the sleeves. The fit constently changes. It's like a perpetual work in progress, but will hopefully reach final by Fanime 2010.
