Construction Details:

My goofy friend Nathan had the bright idea for a skit involving sumo-wrestling, Totoro and an evil Pikachu. So in the time span of two weeks and many late night hours keeping my friends hostage in my garage, we came up with the two big costumes. Totoro is built on a wire cage that my father helped me build. Then cloth and padding was attached over the frame before the fur was sewn on. Only half is done by machine. The majority was by hand, which would have looked terrible on any other fabric but fur. Fur hides everything!!! :)

Personal Thoughts:

Largest costume I ever made but definitely figured out how I like to make my occasional mascot costumes.
