About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The shirt was bought, had its sleeves modified, buttons were added to them and the "v" shape was added. It was dyed a darker shade of red and the cross-like symbol was stenciled. The pleated skirt and ribbons were made from scratch. Her trademark zettai ryouiki were made from a pair of thick leggings since I couldn't find anything that looked as similar as I wanted. They were cut and sewn with elastic thread, and I added a silicone top to make them stay up ^^u I also made three resin jewels for photos (and a little velvet sack for storing them, I'm a sucker for details XD) using my necklace jewel to make a mould, and I also prepared some kind of stencil to paint her Command Spell in my hand :3
This time I didn't use a wig, since I felt that buying one when my hair more or less matches hers in length and color was a waste of money ^^u It's also wavy like hers, although not as beautiful, silky or with all that volume, so I'm a little frustrated with that aspect, but anyway, I loved being my adored Tohsaka-san for a while ^^ - Personal Thoughts:
- After Frog and Celty, I simply needed one of those cosplays that are comfortable to wear and don't restrict my vision/breathing! XD I wanted something that allowed me to show my face for once, and not very expensive. After I watched the UBW movie, I started playing the visual novel and I adored Rin's development in the game, which made me love her a little bit more than Saber (my favorite female in the anime), since we shared some similar characteristics in our personalities XD And so, my next cosplay was decided ^^
