Construction Details:

I modeled the kimono after a yukata I already had but extended the sleeves. The leaves were all individually cut out and then sewn on with orange thread to create the illusion of veins in the leaves. TOOK FOREVER. The ears are made of spare faux fur and some...soft fuzzy fabric which isn't fur but is the sort of thing stuffed animals would be made out of. The gradient was made with slightly diluted "Super Black" comic ink + calligraphy ink I had. The tips were allowed to soak up a lot of the ink while the softer parts were brushed on w/ little water. They were then hotglued to a clear headband. Tutorial for ears were found on a fursuiting Livejournal community. The tail is pretty much made the same way and was modeled after a pattern I found on the same fursuiter livejournal community.

Personal Thoughts:

My friends originally told me to do this a few years ago because I "had the boobs for it". I don't think I do but it is fun cosplaying a coy foxy lady since I usually cannot pull off sly and coy. I really wanted to get those small details and to bring out the richness of the fur which is hard to see with just pure white so I love how the drybrushed ink turned out. :) SO MUCH ORANGE TOO.

Styling Notes

I was at a loss about how to pull off this unique hairstyle with all its loops so I commissioned Chas to do it for me. There's wire and clips involved and it's awesome. :D~ LOL I sent over the little leaf too which she attached. Ears are not attached to the wig. Those are on a headband.
