Personal Thoughts:
[old/retired costume brought over from cosplaylab/cosplay.com with copypaste info. May update later]

Inspiration: Well, you see, I always thought it was unfair that only the girls got to be popstars...and shuuin rocks...and then one day, I was listening to this c-pop song and thought, OMG, there needs to be a skit with this...and then after convincing everyone that I wasn't indeed crazy, it all came together.

Favorite Aspect: It was relatively comfy, and I was really pleased with how the pants came out. I don't usually bother putting a zipper/fly in pants because it's such a pain in the butt, or pockets for that matter, but since you can see them I went ahead and did it, and they came out decently.

Least Favorite Aspect: Sewing vinyl to vinyl to vinyl. My machine hates vinyl. Especially multiple layers of it. And sewing fabric to vinyl, forget it. I had to wuss out and leave some vinyl with the backing showing, and just dye it to hide it, because the machine wouldn't sew a double layer of it to fabric no matter how hard I tried. Also, no matter how much I had prepared and primed the shoes before painting them they still flaked apart when worn for long periods...(discovered this during a later practice for the skit)....coated them with about five layers of resin clearcoat spray, while on my feet, at the con, and they held on fairly well....or at least, enough.

Easiest Task: I was able to find a suitable coat to use as the basis for the top.

Hardest Task: Well, at some points I had to sew through about 5 layers of PVC which the machine didn't like to hold onto and sew very well. (exterior pockets to pants, etc)
