Construction Details:

The fabric I used for the bulk of this costume is a beautiful sateen suiting from JoAnn Fabric's. They didn't sell it in the color I wanted, so I bought the blue and purchaced purple and red polyester dye to dry to dye it. It took 10 hours of stirring the fabric in boiling water to get it to the color it is now! The jacket is lined in silk charmeuse, and the shirt is made with a white cotton shirting. The buttons were all painted gold from their original silver color.
