Construction Details:

Originally this was my first costume. I think it looked pretty good and I did try really hard with it. But most of it was store bought and generic. I didn't even know how to sew back then, and needles scared me lol.

For AnimeNEXT 2013, a few friends were doing Akatsuki- I only knew because I gave one the wig from my Konan costume since she really needed a good one and I figured I'd never cosplay Konan- or Deidara- again. But then they needed a Deidara...

So I wore it to the con, and met the rest of the group, and they were all such amazing people, it's like we became a little family or something. Everyone was going to Otakon, so I decided to revamp the costume- new shirts and pants(before I had a short-sleeve v-neck and long sleeve net shirt bc at the time I 1st wore this, everyone thought all Akatsuki wore exactly what Itachi wears), new belt and pouches, new handmouths, new cloak and bought a ring.. Still got to use the headband and hairtie I originally made though.

And I found a Kisame, Tobi, and Zetsu for us, so then we had the whole group for Otakon. Omg it was amazing. I wish I could post more photos here- but they're all on my Facebook page, S.K. Cosplay. You can find the rest of my group through my FB page too- I don't think they have ACP accts.
