Yay!!! Finally!! ^.^ I've been wanting to cosplay Kairi for sooo many years now! A dream come true. And it wasn't easily obtain either >.> I had so many problems when making this cosplay XD The wig was the easiest thing, and I love it! Thank so much to my friend Amanda (Kunoichi Shea) for timing the bangs for me <3 The bracelets (once I found a good site) weren't hard to get. The necklace was made by my wonderful friend Amy. It was the dress and the shoes that I had the problems with XD I had originally bought the dress off of ebay, but I hated how it looked x___X So my mom, my sister, and I took it apart and completely redid it. It didn't even have real zippers, so we had to go out and buy them -_- And apparently no stores around me or online sell silver double zip zippers x_x At first I ended buying ones that were way too big, and in the end I had to settle for black zippers. I spray painted them silver, but that paint didn't stay on >.< So I bought a sliver Sharpie paint pen in hopes that it would work better. Plus I could do small touch ups when need be. If anyone of you know where I can get silver double zip zippers, please please let me know!! TwT That way I can exchange them. The main problem I had with the shoes was trying to figure out how to get rid of the brand label on the side >.> I tried rubbing it off with sand paper but that didn't quite work XD I ended up using my pocket knife to very slowly cut it off. My first attempts kinda failed, I got small holes in one shoe x.x But once I got the hang of it, my second shoe was unharmed ^^ I had paint problems with the shoes too o.o I had plain white Converse and painted them purple and black. The black paint was for some unknown reason coming off and getting black everywhere >.< At AX my laces kept falling down and bugging the heck out of me (I had to retie them over and over) until after the gathering when I discovered super glueing them to my legs kept them in place. Maybe not the smartest thing to do, but it worked well! XD Even with all the problems, it was so worth it! I had so much fun at Anime Expo 2010 as Kairi! <3 The two KH gatherings were awesome, people liked my cosplay, I got several pictures, and made knew friends ^w^ And later I had a blast cosplaying as Kairi with Amanda (she's my Riku :3) We made fun cosplay videos, and plan to have for fun next year! >w< I'm going to have lots more fun as Kairi <3
