All five costumes are made by me. Please go here to see better quality pictures and more of them! :) http://starlithellsing.deviantart.com/gallery/#Soul-Eater-Cosplay Lauren(me): Chrona Jared: Death the Kid Hope: Patty Bree: Liz Sage: Maka Wigs: Chrona and Patty are styled by me, others came that way. I've been sewing for quite some time and somehow I still don't know fabric names, sorry. Chrona: Dress is made from a pattern I made myself, the collar, cuffs, and white parts of shoes are white fabric with interfacing sewn into it. Death the Kid: I made the white stripes originally the same way I made Chrona's white accents but decided they looked too bulky and instead got blanket edging and shaped that to look good. The skull tie is made like a pillow and is clipped into place. The rings are crafted from clay and painted. Liz/Patty: Both shirts are made from self made patterns again, a stretch knit fabric was used. The hats were the real trick. Inside for the frames are foam hats from the 99 cents store and then they were cut to the correct shape, then I pinned the gray fabric parts on and then super glued them. Then I pinned the white parts on and hand stitched them on using yarn to create the stitch look from the anime. After that I added stuffing into the top of the hat to give it the right shape on top and sewed it shut. To make the sides come up I superglued the hat to itself. The belts are made from white strap material. Patty's shorts have elastic sewn into the bottom to give it the puff. Maka was fun, her shoes are boots from a thrift store and I did a combination of superglue and Velcro to put on the white straps and buckles. Her coat accents are made the same as Chrona's white accents were made and they detach from the costume so that when eating at a con Sage won't stain them. The buttons were painted to be the right color. The cuff buttons actually work and the ones in the front are for show, what actually holds the coat together is Velcro, the buttons pulled on the fabric a weird way creating wrinkles I didn't like so I switched them to just for looks. These costumes were started two weeks before the AMC Soul Eater contest, we were planning on making them anyways, but we decided to make a crazy effort to put them together in time for this. We plan on using them in a Masquerade skit this November at Mikomicore.
