Construction Details:

MANGA VERSION!!! Inner coat: Tweed material. Fabric gradient paint separately and transferred to the main coat. You can't see it but there is even a pattern on the back of the neck that was shown in 1 panel in the manga. Gloves are sewn on so I have to take everything off to use the restroom. Middle coat: Felt (best color and strength) with faux sheep wool trim. Sash is satin. Outer coat: Blue satin lining, white reverse satin outside. Same wool trim. Gradient pattern is done with the same fabric paint on a separate fabric and then transferred to the main coat. It took forever to cross reference shots to figure out what the swirl pattern really looks like. AND, the hues of the blue at each point. Staff: PVC, foam board, fun foam, wire hangers, artist's medium gel, spray paint, spray glue, resin cast jewels with stain glass color, weird 'unicorn' clear paper, invisible elastic, and card stock. Took my whole Spring Break to make it. It comes apart in 2 pieces where the head meets the pole.
