Construction Details:

THIS COSTUME. If I knew the task that I would be undertaking with this in the beginning... I could literally write a book on how much trial and error I did with this costume. I still consider it at 90% complete because there is so much I still want to alter and add. As far as construction goes, this costume is made in 4 way stretch pleather from mjtrends.com. I bought a commercial pattern to help me make the suit, but I altered it HEAVILY to suit my needs. The costume is composed of multiple pieces: leggings with shoes attached, neck and boob armor, unitard, gloves, undershirt, and backpack. The hardest part of this costume would have to have been the leggings, I screwed up on them 3 TIMES. UGH. I also often get asked how I made the armor....it was harvested from a mannequin I got on Ebay :D There is so much to cover as far as construction goes for this costume, so if anyone has a question about a specific aspect, just message me or leave a comment, and I'll be happy to answer it :D

Personal Thoughts:

I LOVE Asuka. She is bratty, egotistical, driven, and independent, and reminds me a lot of myself (at least the driven and independent parts lol). However, most people write her off as being an insensitive bitch...and that's just not true. Asuka is the way she is because in a lot of ways, she is still a child just wanting her Mother's love. Her attitude is just her own personal defense to prevent anyone from hurting her. Girl has a lot more depth than people give her credit.
