Construction Details:

This originally was something I'd started for Katsucon a several months back, but thanks to studio classes and being of no desire to rush this costume, it got moved back to Otakon. And then I ended up first wearing it at Distant Worlds (which was AWESOME, by the way!!!!!)! Yays! ^_^ She is a fun character to cosplay though...even if her role in the games is short-lived...literally... Anyways, I guess why I decided to make this costume though was that I realized I'd done a couple variations of Aerith, but had yet to do something more akin to her classic form. And in a comparison of the original game art and her look in Advent Children, I opted that Advent Children would be slightly easier. The jacket is made from a poly-suede fabric and lined with a simple polyester lining. As for the dress, it's made from a polyester crepe and lined also in a polyester lining (yay for polyster!! O_o), courtesy Joann Fabrics. The boots are my own newly purchased for this costume. However, they're still in need of re-coloring, and a little detail work still needs to be added so that they are proper for the costume. It's on the to-do list. The hairpiece was purchased on clearance from Sally's Beauty Supplies.
