Construction Details:

Hooray for science! The jacket was made with a modified pattern, and all the bias tape was handmade. Oh joy, bias tape. The sleeves are stiffened with a foamie insert, and they're awesome for carrying stuff. One side had my bag of dum-dums, the other my glasses case and phone. The pants were purchased and trimmed with more handmade bias tape. I already owned a cat-shaped bell, it just needed to be painted.

The shoes were a pair of worn-out wedges cut up and kitty-fied. My husband made the bracelets from foam wreath forms and bits of wood.

Fangs wouldn't really stay in, and my contacts liked to shift around so I looked like a goat or hypnotoad. Oh well.

Update: Monoyasha made me a new set of tails! Love them!

Personal Thoughts:

Love this character. She's a foul-mouthed scientist, with very little patience.

Styling Notes

The really hard part of this was the wig. The base is a pigtail 3-piece wig from ebay (cosplaywigs, I believe) in milkshake pink. One pigtail was used for the ponytail, I made a yellow scarf / scrunchie hybrid to go around that. The other pigtail became the two long front pieces, and the rest of the hair was used for the "ears". I painted foamie pink, carefully glued on hair, then stitched them to the wig. I picked up and attached more hair from the wig to the ears to blend them in. It was surprisingly comfortable to wear.
