Construction Details:

Made in 2010. This is the fastest costume I've ever made, but probably the one I really put myself into the most. A lot of hours per day were devoted to this costume.

The skirt, collar, and front bow are made of casa satin. The back bow and sleeves are made of organdy. The bodysuit is cotton lycra. Everything is detachable, including the skirt which is fastened to the bodysuit underneath the skirt. This allows me to use the same bodysuit for different versions or sailor scouts should I choose to do so in the future.

The boots were originally white, and painted pink with Nu-life color spray. This stuff coats the shoes perfectly, and looked fantastic until I actually wore the boots. It started to crack in all the places that I moved my feet (mainly the ankle area). So I wouldn't really recommend it for boots, but it's great for shoes!

The kaliedomoon scope is made with a dowel rod, model magic, craft foam, and wooden balls and then painted.

This was also the first major wig styling I had to do for a costume. All in all, I'm pretty proud of it.
