About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Completely handsewn and hand painted. There is 1 1/2 gallons of paint on this costume. No lie. I was battling a flooding basement as I tried to work on this costume which was no easy thing to overcome considering I have to work on the costume..in the basement. I made the tassles and the little heart thingy is made out of model magic and covered in vinyl. I even made the shirt that goes underneath..that no one ever sees. The weapon is made out of insulation foam, a million layers of gesso and then hand painted. The staff part is a retractable curtain rod.
- Personal Thoughts:
- This is from a black and white image of Fai and Kurogane on one of the Nihon arc chapters. I used the color scheme of the Sakura and Syaoran flame kimonos for consistency sake. I also made the Syaoran and the Kurogane kimonos in the group photos.
