Construction Details:

The primary fabric is Kona cotton. The blouse is lined to be opaque. It's fitted with darts and closes with hidden snaps down the front center. The sleeves are lined with a heavy interfacing and pleated into the cuff. This creates the poofy shape and keeps it stiff. The sailor collar is lined and sewn in, and the stripe sewn in with bias tape. The tie is also handmade and attaches with snaps under the collar. The skirt is made from trapezoids and pleated. The trim on the bottom is also extra wide bias tape. The wig is recycled from my previous Rosebride Nanami costume. The shoes were made by adding on fabric to a pair I already had. Second pair of shoes were painted yellow first with fabric paint and then the white vinyl was added on. No patterns used.

Personal Thoughts:

I love being this crazy girl! Utena is one of my all time favorite shows. Playing Nanami is fun. :D
