About this Costume
Construction Details:
I remember playing the video game when it first came out and I really like the design on Din. Originally, I was planning to do this with Miyabi with her Nayru from Oracles of Ages but I coudn't make it to Ohayocon that year. However, after three failed tries on the bodysuit, I got it completed for Tsubasacon.

This took me three tries to do. First try I didn't use a pattern and use broadcloath for the triangles, didn't work out well and my stupid friend tore it up. Second time, I made it too small without using a pattern. FINALLY, I made it the right size (thanks to a kwick sew pattern) and painted the triangles on with fabric paint (since you cant iron on stuff with spandex) using a pattern I made. The cuffs on the bottom were made out of stiff kona cotton with gather stictches.

For the accesories, the golden triangles were made out of craft foam sealed with glue and painted on. Velcrow is super glued to the back and sewn onto the jumpsuit as well. The rings I cut out of a cylindar cardboard, sealed with glue, and painted with gold. For the wig, it required no stubbing. I used a punky XL for the ponytail and styled the bangs with regular hair spray (and lots of it). However, they are a tiny bit uneven and I will fix that in the future.

The shoes kinda need work. I bought the red shoes online but for the straps I used bias tape but I'm planning to use ribbon in the near future.

I'm suprised a lot of people recognized my costume even though hardly a lot of people play the game. I'm glad people liked it and I plan on wearing it to future conventions.
