Construction Details:

With all the cute plushies I make, people always wondered if I can ugly ones. YES I CAN. I made both Statler (on the right) and Waldorf (on the left, and worn by Genjitsu). These costumes were made to go with Bunsen (hoshikaji) and Beaker (liddochan) for our Muppets skit

We started with white muppet fleece specially ordered from the one provider in the nation that still makes it. It's not the standard blizzard fleece or no pill you can find at Joanns. It's REMARKABLE. Then I used cold dye to get their flesh color just right. 1/2" foam was used to sculpt the heads and then I pretty much free handed the facial features. Made 4 fingered gloves for them, but added some extra lining to make Waldorf's hands fatter.

Because it was SDCC, the suits were also made. Statler's suit was a pain, because I had to line up all the stripes. I hate striped suits now.

Personal Thoughts:

Quite fitting that the heads of ACP are the heckling old men from the balcony, yes?
