Construction Details:

I went to Anime Expo 2009 for one day only (the 2nd day of the con) and I figured, "I might as well make a costume". I hadn't cosplayed since 2007. I figured that I would make an original costume based off the Neo Japanesque fashions from Japan, with a little bit of Cyber Geisha mixed in it. The costume itself was easy to make, but it too many house to hand paint every single detail you see on it. Yes, the designs are all hand painted. :)

Personal Thoughts:

It was a shame that people did not realize that I had hand painted all the designs. I worked hard on the painting and when I wore it to the convention, hardly anybody took notice. Then again, there was hardly any cosplay at AX this year. It was weird. There was a lot of bad cosplay and very few good. Sorry, but it's true. I only saw about 10 amazing costumes...everybody else was just dressed in school uniforms with cat ears. ;x
